This forum is a place where you can talk utter rubbish, display erudition, drool simplistically, or discuss this and that with an understanding crowd; where you can be sarcastic, witty, dense, funny, cynical, smug, sharp, plain rude, all the rest of it. Here, you can do any of that in the way you want, without us telling you to mind your Ps and Qs.

It's an oasis of grown-up idiocy in a world of ever-stiffening political correctness and tedious, dreary humour restriction. As a result, only adults over the age of 18 are allowed in, and you should be aware that the conversation topics and content may frequently not be for the faint-hearted.

Please note: the fora (forums? who gives one) are not entirely unmoderated, but rather mostly unmoderated. This doesn't mean that one forum is moderated and another isn't; it doesn't mean that we'll edit or delete posts, 'cos we haven't and we won't; it just means that we, the owners and administrators of this forum site, reserve the right to be as capricious and whimsical as we damn well please in kicking out people we want to kick out because they're being tossers.

In practice this means that if you come in to our forum and start bothering the locals without being even vaguely witty or amusing about it, we'll probably kick you straight out and do what we can to make sure you don't come back. Same goes if you come in and start spouting stuff which is genuinely offensive, hateful, racist, or any of that nasty business.

On the other hand if you come in, have a laugh, get the hang of the place and after a while start joining in with the ongoing practice of abusing the hell out of your fellow abusers, then you'll probably go far, kiddo.

So come on in, kick back, just put those dogs up and take a load off.

Oh, and by the way - if we decide to kick you out 'cos you're being a pain in the proverbial, don't come moaning to us about "free speech", 'cos we're not interested. This is our place, we have no democratic obligation to allow random people to post what the hell they like, and if you don't like that, well, you're going to have to deal with it!
